Yorkshire Gates is a business with a reputation for gate fabrication that spans over 35 years. The company prides itself on blending traditional customer service with a modern and forward-thinking approach, and believes that their gate-making expertise is in their blood. They fabricate all of their gates using local materials and thrive off of using local businesses to do their galvanising and powder coating, specifically using Colourco and Wedge Galvanising.
Working closely with their customers and all associated parties, Yorkshire Gates listens carefully to their requirements to ensure that each project is completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. They take pride in providing the flexible, personalized service that their customers expect.

Meet the Team
Paddy
Co-Founder
Paddy has worked in fabrication for over 50 years, 35 of those at Contact Fabrications / Yorkshire Gates. He's now taking a bit of a back seat and concentrating on the delivering and collecting of gates and materials. Paddy spends his spare time with his wife, Leslie and his 1st Grandson, Harley.
Matthew
Managing Director
Matthew took over Contact Fabrications 13 years ago when he was just 21 years old, he's been building the business up ever since. In his spare time, Matthew likes spending time with his wife and son on their family farm, as well as Comp Safari and is a member of NORC (Northern Off-Road Club).
Leslie
Company Secretary
Leslie originally trained to be a teacher but at the time there werent many positions available so went to work at the Royal Sun Alliance. She worked her way up from selling insurance to leading and teaching colleagues on fraudulent claims. Leslie has taken a backseat and is now co-driver and map reader for Paddy between feeding the animals with her Grandson, Harley on their farm.
Ann
Accounts Manager
Ann is Paddy's sister and has worked with the company for 33 years. She stepped down and now works just 4 days a week so she can spend more time with her first Grandson, Teddy. Ann does a lot of fundraising for a number of charities, including Overgate, Macmillan, Mind, Cancer Research and also ran the Great North Run 4 times, as well as cycled through Thailand.
Katie
Sales & Marketing
Katie has been helping in the office for the past 12 months and has recently been made an official member of the Contact Fabrications / Yorkshire Gates team. When Katie isnt working at Yorkshire Gates, she works at a school for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and enjoys spending time with family.
Adam
Workshop Manager
Adam has worked at Contact Fabrications / Yorkshire Gates for 14 years and has been in fabrication for over 17 years. He's worked his way up from basic fabricator to workshop manager. Adam has recently welcomed his 3rd child with wife, Linda.
Tom Smith
Workshop Fabricator
Tom has worked at Contact Fabrications / Yorkshire Gates for 3 and a half years and has been in fabrication for over 17 years. When he's not busy fabricating gates in the workshop, Tom likes to spend time with his daughter.
Dylan Oxley
Workshop Fabricator
Dylan has worked at Contact Fabrications / Yorkshire Gates for 4 years and has been in fabrication for over 4 years. Dylan started as an apprentice with us and is now a fully qualified fabricator.
Mark Kerry
Installation
Mark worked with us previously for over 5 years but left to work at Excel Roller Shutter Doors, he missed us so much he's now back and on his 2nd year with us. Mark is a family man with 6 children and spends his spare time fishing.
Reece Robertshaw
Installation
Reece has worked at Contact Fabrications / Yorkshire Gates for over 5 years now and has been in fabrication for over 5 years, including a year in college. In his spare time, Reece likes to spend time with his little girl and socialising with friends.
Ryan
Gate Tech
Ryan started working for Contact Fabrications / Yorkshire Gates. We regularly outsource our gate automation and servicing to Ryan as he does such a great job. He is also Gate Safe and dhf Gate Approved.
